Sleeping Beauty is an album by jazz composer, bandleader and keyboardist Sun Ra and his Intergalactic Myth Science Solar Arkestra recorded in 1979 and originally released on Ra's Saturn label and rereleased on CD on Art Yard in 2008.

Sleeping Beauty (French: La Belle au bois dormant), or Little Briar Rose (German: Dornröschen), also titled in English as The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods, is a classic fairy tale about a princess that is cursed to sleep for a hundred years by an evil fairy, where she would be awakened by a handsome prince.

Complete your Mary Martin collection. I don't like this record at all - the songs are recorded directly from the movie and the quality is poor. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Sleeping Beauty is a 1976 comedy album recorded by Cheech & Chong. On November 15, 2005, the long out-of-print album was finally re-released and digitally re-mastered on CD, along with Let's Make a New Dope Deal. The album cover and name make reference to the once popular drug Secobarbital, a barbiturate derivitave commonly known on the street as "reds". Used for epilepsy and insomnia, the drug was widely abused in the 1960s and '70s. The original LP album cover folded out into a giant red capsule, bearing the same numbers as Secobarbital capsules from the 1970s. The sleeve containing the actual record was a picture of a woman's tongue with a "red" in the center (the same picture was used for the re-release CD cover).

This iconic production, with sumptuous sets and costumes, and Tchaikovsky’s majestic score will sweep you off your feet. Don’t miss the timeless tale you know and love.
