Following the single's success, Locomotive recorded an album at the Abbey Road Studios in London with producer Gus Dudgeon. By this time, however, the band decided to perform more progressive rock, based around Haines' keyboard skills. Because of their uncertainty over how it would be received, the record company delayed the release of the album. A single, a version of a Question Mark and The Mysterians song, "I'm Never Gonna Let You Go", was released but failed to make the charts. The album included the track "Mr. Armageddon", released as a single and later included on several anthologies of progressive rock of the time, together with two tracks, "Coming Down" and "Love Song.
Locomotive's only album was an oddball piece of second-tier British psychedelia, stuck somewhere between psych and progressive rock, and mixing in a lot of soul music, a good deal of jazz, and a bit of classical. In those respects, they were similar to Traffic and Family, though putting more emphasis on soul music. The influences didn't cohere as well as they did in Traffic and Family, though, and the material wasn't nearly as effective.

Locomotive (originally The Locomotive) were a British band in the 1960s, from Birmingham. Their musical styles ranged from jazz to psychedelic rock and ska, and their original line-up featured Chris Wood, later of Traffic, and drummer Mike Kellie of Spooky Tooth.

We Are Everything You See. "Please retry". Apparently this album was originally released about 12 months later than it should have been. That, and the fact that the band had had a previous minor hit single in a Ska vein, meant that this album pretty much sank without trace when it did finally see the light of day. That& a damn shame because this is a minor classic.
