Maintaining My Cool" actually contains most of The Sonics' lone album for Jerden records, "Introducing The Sonics" minus a couple of cuts that Jerden later put out on their "Fire & Ice: Lost Tapes" collection. Actually, it's not bad, decent mid 60's garage rock, but by the time they recorded for Jerden, The Sonics had lost some of the manic punk rawness that makes their Etiquette Records recordings so essential.
