The other track worthy of note is "Vivaldi", a seven minute violin feature from the band's first album, which when combined with the distinguished vocals of Sonja Kristina on other tracks, immediately served to distinguish them from other bands of their ilk. The downside of such a brief album is that it tends to skim across the surface, omitting many fine songs, and offering a distorted view of the music of the band
Second Album was the second album released by British rock group Curved Air. It reached No. 11 in the UK Charts on 9 October 1971, and "Back Street Luv" became a UK No. 4 chart hit on 7 August 1971. Both variations of the album cover include a rainbow, a reference to the album A Rainbow in Curved Air, from which the band took their name.

So what are Curved Air really about and what did they innovate? In brief, they were one of the first bands to try and bridge back the gap between 'serious' and 'lightweight' music before others came to do the trick. Curved Air raised the art of rock theatrics to a whole new level. It seems to me that the band never took itself all that seriously nor believed in whatever they were doing - all their witty antics and almost grossly overdone album sleeves make the impression of a bunch of grown-up childs playing an interesting and involving game rather than sincerely believing in doing something enlightening. Yes it is, but it's also a great lot of fun, and there's a reason fans often consider this to be the definite highlight of the first album, if not the best track Curved Air ever did. Hah! It's definitely better than Jimmy Page's ridiculous guitar bowing anyway.
