Miss Broadway Lyrics.
Both albums from Euro-disco divas La Belle Epoque, Miss Broadway (1977) and Bamalama (1978), are combined onto a single compact disc by this Russian label. A Paris-based female disco trio, La Belle Epoque scored a few club hits during the late '70s. Their first album, the soul/Euro-disco hybrid Miss Broadway, was also released in 1977. It was followed a year later by the more synth-driven Bamalama, whose title track was another long medley featuring disco interpretations of rock oldies. Belle Epoque (also referenced in some sources as La Belle Epoque) was the name of a female vocal trio, based in Paris, France. The group first rose to popularity during the late 1970s with a disco remake of the song "Black Is Black", originally a hit in 1966 for the Spanish group Los Bravos. Belle Epoque consisted of lead singer Evelyne Lenton, a French singer who began recording and performing in the early 1960s under the name Evy, and two back-up singers.
