The discography of Beck, an American rock musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and t, consists of 13 studio albums, one compilation album, one remix album, three extended plays (EPs) and 45 singles.

Mellow Gold is the third studio album by American musician Beck, released on March 1, 1994 by DGC Records. Critics noted the album's hybrid of various styles including rock, hip hop, folk, blues, psychedelia, and country, as well as ironic, witty lyrics. Its decidedly anti-commercial attitude led to it becoming an unexpected commercial success, peaking at number thirteen in the United States and eventually being certified platinum

As uDiscover’s album-by-album Beck series goes back to his recording origins, this is the story of Golden Feelings. Hansen, born in Los Angeles, had spent a couple of winters on the east coast, feeling his way around the anti-folk scene in New York before returning home in 1991. The album included the first version of ‘Totally Confused,’ which Beck would re-record for the B-side of ‘Beercan,’ one of the singles from his 1994 major label debut Mellow Gold. It also had the original ‘Motherfukka,’ which also reappeared on that later release, spelt ‘Mutherfuker.

The opening cut "The Fucked Up Blues" is a fine early example of Beck's surrealist blues; some songs, such as "Magic Station Wagon," which sounds like two broken guitars being plucked violently over and over for some sort of percussive effect, are more interesting than listenable. The folkish "No Money No Honey" - which also appeared on Stereopathetic Soul Manure, sung by a homeless man Beck recruited - appears here in a more developed version and features what must be one of the loudest, most distorted acoustic guitar tracks ever recorded

This album of Beck inspired me to make music,no matter how shit the quality is. DurtAnos atrás. Always found this album kind of niche. It sounds hilariously depressing like a young Beck starting out. el GironAnos atrás. I saw someone mention "why does he only sound like this on this album?" he actually did quit a bit of experimental voice pitching shit on his early 90' recordings.
