During the Nineties, Christian DECAMPS & FILS took up the angelic torch, producing albums such as ""Nu"" (1994) and ""Troisieme Etoile A Gauche"" (1997). This one introduces a new line-up (Hassan HAJDI replacing Jean-Pascal BOFFO), that would become the new ANGE two years later. As you can guess, here's a real angelic masterpiece, as legitimate as its followers

The third album by Christian Décamps and Fils is also Ange's frontman's best solo effort in a decade. On Murmures, Décamps is finally able to put some distance between his writing for his long-standing group and his solo output - despite the fact that most of the participating musicians played in Ange at some point or another.

Whatever Ange may have been through in the years since their progressive heyday in the 70s, it is clear from this release that lead singer Christian Décamps has found a way to translate this artistic vision into something modern without losing the spirit of the past. As with anything by Ange that involved him, the lyrics reign supreme, dictating the form and mood of the music. His vocal delivery remains as dramatic as ever, and while my French is not up to the task of deciphering his dense imagery and wordplay, he clearly means what he is singing (or saying, or screaming), and his tones sucks.

Christian Decamps & Fils - 2004 - "Murmures". The best compositions are located at the beginning of the album and at the end. The first real song, Les Choucroutiers du Pouvoir, is a real progressive Cathedral Metal and is unique by all means, not because it is probably for the first time that Decamps has appealed to that genre. The last four songs: Cannabis Bleu Pale, Baisers Voles, Si J'avais des Alies and the title track are closer to the classic Ange sound, though the presence of chamber instruments (piano, violin and cello) gives a more classical feel to them.

Christian Dcamps & Fils: Murmures is a music studio album recording by CHRISTIAN DCAMPS (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 2004 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette.

Ange (English: Angel) is a French progressive rock band formed in September 1969 by the Décamps brothers, Francis (keyboards) and Christian (vocals, accordion, acoustic guitar and keyboards). Since its inception the band's music has been inspired by medieval texts and fantasy. Ange was initially influenced by Genesis and King Crimson, and its music was quite theatrical and poetic
