The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival also nurtures new talent, as festival director Jason Elliott explains: This event is bursting with talent, some of it as yet undiscovered. We’re proud to be showcasing and cultivating such a wide variety of musicianship and to help these musicians – in any small way – achieve, succeed and thrive. Think a northern UK blues-roots style event, akin to SXSW Conference & Festivals, Austin, Texas. Joanne Shaw Taylor – UK’s number one star in the blues rock world + Stevie Nimmo Trio – one half of Scotland’s highly respected ‘Nimmo Brothers’ + The Revelator Band – unpredictable, fun festival-style blues. Adam Kennedy is an experienced music photographer based in northeast England.

Rock Rhythm & Blues. And it sounds like he had fun recording it, given that he used to be a session musician in England, backing American R&B artists, before he found success on his own. Randy Travis' "It's Just a Matter of Time" casts the country singer in a pop mode, alternating between deep bass notes and his normal baritone range. Michael McDonald can be found here, too, performing Motown music decades before he issued his own covers albums. Its a great album and the artists are phenomenal in their covers.
