Performer: Dmitri Shostakovich. Orchestra: I Musici de Montréal. Conductor: Yuli Turovsky, Maxim Shostakovich. Composer: Dmitri Shostakovich. Audio CD (October 27, 1992). The playing is such that it sounds spontaneous. Yuli Turovsky is a cellist by trade and conducts the chamber symphony version of what is the Shostakovich 10th quartet. I even prefer it to some quartets interpretations of opus 118. There is no need to hesitate about this recording.
