Exclusive discount for Prime members. Sample this album Artist - Artist (Sample). Those 2 albums are much better although History Of Violence does have some jems on it. Jus Allah is really simplistic and is just so-so when he's on a track. The wost thing of all is that the CD is only about 35 minutes long!
Jedi Mind Tricks (JMT) is an underground hip hop duo consisting of Vinnie Paz and Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group was founded by the two high school friends, rapper Vinnie Paz (Vincenzo Luvineri) and producer Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind (Kevin Baldwin). A History of Violence is the sixth album by Philadelphia hip hop group Jedi Mind Tricks, released on November 11, 2008 on Babygrande Records. The album followed multiple summer releases from the Jedi Mind Tricks camp, including the group's first DVD, titled Divine Fire: The Story of Jedi Mind Tricks, and the Vinnie Paz-executive produced projects Jedi Mind Tricks presents Doap Nixon: Sour Diesel, Jedi Mind Tricks presents King Syze: The Labor Union, and Jedi Mind Tricks presents OuterSpace: God's Fury.
The regain of an old member is usually a welcomed celebration. Cheers come from the fan and the band gains more popularity than ever. The band does better than ever with their new material, and by the time they dump the old member, it’s too late, they already have solidified their place as a quality band. All this however, doesn’t really save A History of Violence. There are a few political and emotional songs, and ultimately this is where Jedi Mind Tricks works best, but most of the rest of the album just sounds awkward due to the return of Jus Allah. A History of Violence is only for true fans, as most will feel confused, as they’ve spent so long just hearing Vinnie Paz rapping alone. Maybe after this release, Jedi Mind Tricks will realize that Jus Allah is just way past his prime, and they will get rid of him.
